Soon, Ryan and I will be heading off to Italy for a 3 week excursion of a life time.

We'll driving from Rome throughout the regions of Emilia Romagna, Umbria and Tuscany stopping in off the beaten path towns and villages and eating like the locals do.

I'm no Anthony Bourdaine but it'll be something a long those lines. Fortunately, Ryan can't hold his liquor very well so i hereby declare him designated driver.

We've sought out the help of culinary travel consultant PURPLE TRUFFLE to design a one of kind culinary tour.

We'll be staying, touring and dining with Cheese Makers, Olive Oil Producers, Fisherman, Cattle Ranchers and 90 Year Old Italian Grandmothers all in the pursuit of pure, traditional Italian Cooking

We'll be returning November and you can count on some great new menu ideas and perhaps, who knows, maybe an authentic, seasonal and quality driven Italian restaurant in the oven
